GFolio 2.0
GFolio 2.0, a Google Finance portfolio viewer for iPhone and iPod touch, was just submitted to the App Store for the review process!
GFolio 1.5 is on sale for a limited amount of time, when 2.0 is released, the price will be $3.99
GFolio for iPad is in the works as well, I haven’t decided whether GFolio for iPad will be merged into the existing GFolio for iPhone to be a universal app, or if it will be a separate app.

GFolio 1.4
I haven’t been updating this blog recently, but here we go: GFolio 1.4 has two new key features – currency exchange and adding transactions.
GFolio 1.4.1 fixed a strange crash that would happen occasionally, and corrects a spelling mistake (my bad!)
GFolio 1.4.2 was just submitted to the App Store review process, and should be available in a week or so. This minor version update fixes a crash that occurred sometimes when returning to the main menu before the profile has been fully loaded.

01.3.10GFolio 1.1 & 1.2
Sorry for the late update, GFolio 1.1 has been in the App Store for awhile now. Changes are as follows:
- Information about individual quotes
- Overall portfolio statistics
The information about the individual quotes are provided by Yahoo! Finance, not Google Finance. As such, they are not real-time as the Google quotes are, and have a delay of at least 15 minutes.
I’ve been spending my time working on the next version of GFolio, and the new features you can expect are:
- Viewing individual transactions
- Currency exchange information (this information will most likely come from Yahoo! as well.)
- Market-related news
I expect to finish GFolio 1.2 in a week or two, and the App Store review process takes about a week or two. Don’t forget to leave reviews on the App Store! Any feature requests and/or bug reports are welcome!
12.8.09GFolio in the app store!
Today, the first version of GFolio was accepted to the iPhone / iPod Touch app store. GFolio is a handy tool to check out your Google Finance profile quickly and easily.
Features to expect in the next version:
- statistics on individual quotes, including the bid/ask prices, 52-week values, and much more.
- transaction history data
Note: the statistics on individual stock quotes will be retrieved from the Yahoo! Finance due to licensing restrictions. This means that data will be delayed by at least 15 minutes.
11.21.09GFolio
I’ve been working on a small iPhone app that uses the Google Data APIs to connect to your Google Finance portfolio, so you can get a quick easy outlook on your portfolio wherever you go. I just submitted the first version to the App Store, it should be in the store in the next couple weeks.
Features in the 1.0 version:
- Shows the stock symbol, along with the overall gain in both dollars and as a percentage, as well as the day’s gain in dollars.
- Shows current market value and the cost basis
- Automatically updates every ten seconds (can be disabled)
I plan to add many more features – I would expect the ability to create/modify/delete portfolios and transactions in a version in the near future.
